Seeking, Sharing, and Showing God's Love
David Bryant joined the staff of First Church in the spring of 2006 as Director of Music Ministries.  He leads the chancel, handbell and the older elementary choir, and serves as organist for worship.
 
David started his piano studies at the age of four, and began playing for weekly church services at the age of twelve. He received his undergraduate degree in Piano Performance from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, and earned his Masters degree in Piano Performance, Piano Pedagogy and Musicology from Temple University, where he graduated with honors.   David graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow Scotland, which he attended while on a Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarship. 
 
David served as the Associate Pastor of Worship Arts at Fairview Village Church for the past three years. He has been very involved with Rotary International and was named a Paul Harris Fellow for his charitable work with the foundation. He is currently a lecturer in Music History and Piano at Eastern University in St. David’s PA, and teaches music at Penn Christian Academy in Norristown. In addition to teaching, David has recorded the world premier of Harold Boatrite’s formidable Piano Sonata for Albany Records, given hundreds of concerts and recitals throughout the US and Britain, and has choral pieces published by Warner Brothers, Alfred, Lorenz, Monarch Music, Birdsong and Shawnee Press. He has also served as the accompanist for John Rutter’s master classes in the United States.
 
David lives in Audubon PA with his beautiful wife Janine, an accomplished ballerina and choreographer, their two wonderful sons Noah, age 10, and Nathanael, age 7, and three cats – Clara Schumann, Martha Graham and Randall P. Mac Murphy.
